As a fourth-generation dairy farmer in the Mitta Valley North East Victoria, Karen has a deep understanding of the dairy industry both at production and industry levels, having served 7 years (2013-2020) on the Board of Murray Dairy, the regional development program arm, for Dairy Australia, serving as Chair for the last two years. Karen was also appointed to the Board of Dairy Australia in November 2023.
Karen has a keen interest and strong track record of involvement in research, development and extension in regional policy and economic development and has been an active leader in a range of commercial and local community organisations.
